Every year for Suicide Prevention Month the mental health non-profit, The Scatter Joy Project passes out Roses for Joy to combat loneliness and hopelessness while reminding people of their strength and beauty.

The idea is inspired by a poem from Ralph Waldo Emerson, "These roses under my window make no reference to former roses or better ones. They are what they are. They exist with God today. There is no time to them. There is simply the rose. It is perfect in every moment of its existence."

This year The Scatter Joy Project set a massive goal to pass out 46,000 roses that represent the nearly 46,000 Americans that died by suicide in 2020. This is a simple way for you to get involved in our goal of making the world a more compassionate, kind, and selfless place.

Suicide prevention starts with all of us. Buy roses and pass them out. Help us scatter joy.
